Wenn sie in FAT formatiert ist, sollte sie gehen. Aber eben nur mit USB1.1

Die Anzeige von jpeg ist in der Qzallität ja etwas grenzwertig? Ich könnte mir aber vorstellen über ein ähnliches fenster eine Flashfunktion umzusetzen. So das z.B. Programmlisten oder Firmware gefasht werden könnten. Hätte man darüber wieder eine alte Firmware gefasht müßte man wieder über Seriell gehen. Der Bootloader scheint keine flashfunktion über usb zu bieten.

Nein, der Bootloader kann kein USB. Da müsste dann der ganze USB-teil rein. Dann wird der Bootloader viel grösser.

Eventuelle wäre es auch machbar das Image per USB einzulesen und dann zu flashen? Wobei dann der code irgendwie im RAM laufen müsste. Damit kenne ich mich aber nicht so sehr gut aus. man kann sich ja nicht wärend der Laufzeit das eigene Flash-Programm überschreiben...

Doch das sollte gehen, wird ja so bein OTA gemacht. Auch wird ja nicht aus dem ROM die Firmware gebootet, sondern die gesamte Firmware wird an eine stelle im RAM kopiert und dort gestartet. Also nur beim hochfahren der Software wird auf ROM zugegriffen.

Sorry stimmt. Hab ich garnicht dran gedacht, i.a. habe ich auf Arbeit immer nur mit kleinen Controllern zu tun, die vom Flash laufen.

Bei den grossen Controllern (ARM, MIPS) wird das Flash ins RAM kopiert und läuft dann von dort. Ist auch viel schneller. Dann ist das natürlich kein Problem ins Flash zu schreiben. Die OTA-Routine müsste ja einen Puffer anlegen und der wird dann ins Flash geschrieben.
